Over 60 years ago, three couples instigated a summer camp for young people on the Florida College campus. Providing the fun and adventure of a summer camp in a spiritually uplifting environment, this early camp ran for three weeks each year!

In 1963, after a brief hiatus, the Florida College camp forged full steam ahead with the sponsorship and direction of the Alumni Association. Young people from all over the country would travel for days on buses and in caravans to Temple Terrace, Florida every summer. A week at camp was the highlight of the year for hundreds of young Christians, and many who attended camp went on to enroll in Florida College.

Florida College Camps echo the purpose and goals of Florida College by providing summer recreation and fun with a biblical foundation, offering a unique environment for personal godly development, and preparing campers for better service to their Creator and humanity.

Today, there are 22 Florida College Summer Camps. From the mesas of Arizona to the plains of Texas, thousands of excited campers enjoy a variety of activities each summer. Every camp is unique, but they are all united in offering a taste of the exciting and godly environment that exists at Florida College.

In keeping with this mission, at Florida College Summer Camps one will find:

• Opportunities to be part of a team
• Small group Bible studies
• Singings
• Crafts
• Sports
• Team building activities
• Counselors who want to help campers grow spiritually
• An atmosphere where friendships with all ages are encouraged
• Opportunities for leadership
• Fun without compromising Christian values
• Memories that last a lifetime
